About

We built TrustScans because we were the client, too.

We're a web agency based in Louisville, Kentucky. Before TrustScans was a product, it was a problem we had ourselves: getting an accessibility audit done right, then actually fixing what it found, was tedious, expensive, and slow, every single time.

The free tools only look at one page.

Google PageSpeed is free and it works well, but only for a single page. Sites have dozens or hundreds. To get a real picture, you end up scanning page by page and manually compiling every result into a report yourself before anyone can act on it.

The paid tools scan everything, but tell you nothing useful.

Full-site scanners exist, but they're built for the people running the scan, not the people who have to fix what it finds. The reports are dense, technical, and hard to read, so the manager or engineer on the other end has to spend more time figuring out what the report means than actually fixing the problem. That confusion is expensive.

We'd felt this pain hundreds of times over.

We've built hundreds of sites and web apps for organizations that are required to be accessible. Every one of those projects meant the same grind, getting an audit, decoding it, and chasing down fixes across pages nobody had time to check by hand. We built TrustScans to end that grind for ourselves first, then for everyone stuck in it the way we were.

So we built the tool we wished existed.

TrustScans crawls the whole site automatically, then reports the result the way we always wished someone would explain it to us: a clear grade for the people who need the overview, and the exact fix for the people who have to make the change. No spreadsheets. No translation. No guessing what a report means before you can even start fixing anything.

It started as a small tool we built for our own developers. Since then we've grown it into the platform it is today, built to work for organizations and teams of every size, and for people at every technical level, not just the engineers who first used it.
